Auctioneers note: We are extremely excited to present an offering from the wildest corner of the Old West - Laramie, Wyoming. Historical pharmacy, apothecary, general store and stationary items including medicinal bottles, tins, labels, presses, scales, books, ledgers, safes, general store cabinetry, and advertising showcases of the period as well as many other amazing finds discovered in a cellar beneath Laramie's Historic downtown.
These rare items are artifacts of one of Wyoming's earliest, and considered "one of the finest drug stores west of the Mississippi," Eggleston Drug Company (Est. 1895) was owned by Pharmacist's and leading Wyoming citizens Frank H. Eggleston and A.H. (Harry) Cordiner, and renamed Cordiner Drugs upon the death of Frank Eggleston in 1910.
After standing witness to the West's lawlessness, both World Wars, the 1918 Influenza epidemic, and the era of the soda fountain, these items now serve as a last vestige of a bygone era from a town not easily tamed.
